The Meadow Creek SM48 Santa Maria Grill is a wood and charcoal grill built around a stainless steel crank wheel that raises and lowers the grate over an open fire. The SM48's grate adjusts from 5 to 30 inches above the fire using a stainless steel crank wheel and cable system. A hinged front panel swings down for full access to the charcoal tray, backed by eight spin vents split between the front and back for fire control. The SM48's standard grate measures 22 by 45 inches of welded stainless steel and swaps out for optional griddle, seafood basket, or chicken flipper grates. Each of those grates is available in full and half-width sizes so two accessories can run side by side.

The SM48 measures 33 inches wide by 68 inches long by 73 inches tall and rolls on 13 inch turf tires. That keeps it easy to move between a storage corner and the cook site. Meadow Creek equipment is hand-welded in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. That is the same standard the rest of the Meadow Creek lineup is built to.
